Welcome to Sovrency, a non-custodial self-custody wallet designed for long-term crypto wealth management. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (sovrency.com), mobile and web applications, hardware devices (including Silicon Key and Backup Card), APIs, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using Sovrency, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective when posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.
The Service is provided by Sovrency, based in the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”), and is intended for users who are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. By using Sovrency, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and that your use of the Service does not violate any laws or regulations applicable to you.
Sovrency is a non-custodial wallet. We do not hold or control your private keys or funds, and we cannot move or freeze your assets on your behalf. The Service allows you to generate and manage wallets, use Everyday Mode and Sovereign Mode, interact with supported blockchains and dApps, review transactions via tools such as SignSight, and (optionally) use hardware like Silicon Key and Backup Card to anchor your security. You are solely responsible for all transactions you approve, including any transfers, swaps, or interactions with smart contracts.
Your access to Sovrency is granted under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal use (or internal business use, if applicable). You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse-engineer, or exploit the Service or its content in ways not expressly allowed by these Terms. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, passkeys, PINs, biometrics, and any other credentials you use to access Sovrency. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access due to your failure to secure your devices or accounts.
While Sovrency may charge fees for certain features, hardware, or premium plans (as described in the app or on our website), you are also responsible for any blockchain network fees (such as gas fees) related to your transactions. All pricing and billing details, if applicable, will be presented in the relevant purchase or subscription flows. You are responsible for any taxes that may apply to your use of the Service or your digital asset activities.
Sovrency interacts with public blockchains and third-party protocols that we do not control. We do not guarantee the accuracy, security, legality, or availability of any underlying network, smart contract, or dApp. Any interaction you initiate—whether through Everyday Mode, Sovereign Mode, Silicon Key, or otherwise—is at your own risk. You remain fully responsible for verifying addresses, amounts, and contract behavior before approving transactions, even when using features like SignSight or Transaction Policies.
Your use of the Service must comply with applicable laws and must not involve fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or any other illegal or abusive activity. You may not use Sovrency to distribute malware, disrupt the Service, or interfere with other users. We may, where required by law or in good-faith response to clear abuse, take reasonable steps to protect the Service and its users, including limiting or blocking access from specific devices, accounts, or regions.
We take security seriously and design Sovrency to use secure elements, MPC, and other safeguards; however, no system is perfectly secure. Digital assets carry significant risks, including market volatility, smart contract bugs, protocol failures, device loss, key loss, and regulatory changes. By using Sovrency, you acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk and that you may suffer partial or total loss of digital assets for reasons beyond our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Sovrency and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of funds, data, or profits arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to a reasonable amount, such as the total fees (if any) you have paid to Sovrency for the Service in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies you may have under mandatory UAE law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service may be brought before the competent courts of the UAE, without prejudice to any mandatory protections you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
